For over a century, Milton Brook of Stoke on Trent have been producing these fully vitrified porcelain and beech pestle and mortars. They are fired at controlled temperatures until the clay’s microscopic pores are eliminated. This gives a very low absorbency, very strong and dense product, which should minimize any risk of cross contamination.

Together with its style and durability, the easy-clean smooth exterior of the Mortar is a key selling point, especially when combined with the grip-friendly long-handled Pestle. Designed to be used with dry and wet mixes, this accessory can be used to prepare dry rubs and marinades; to create fresh salsa, guacamole and hummus to your hearts content.
